One way to find that perfect gift is to shop for something that they not only like, but would enjoy. It does not have to be expensive, but it should show that you cared that what you picked out for that special occasion came from the heart.
If you are shopping for your spouse, you could buy them a gift certificate from their favorite store, or something for that special hobby they like. If they enjoy fishing, you could book a weekend fishing trip for the two of you or for him and his best friend.
